Our Story
Moonbox started with one frustrated cat owner, a lot of failed prototypes, and a partner who wouldn't let him give up.
Isaac & Ana - testing an early prototype at home
How it started
Ana always wanted cats. She finally convinced Isaac to get them - and Isaac ended up stuck with the daily litter scooping. He didn't want an expensive, failure-prone electric box either.
30+ failed prototypes
Isaac went through more than 30 prototypes that just didn't work. He was ready to give up on the idea entirely and move on to something else.
Ana's sketch - the idea that changed everything
That's when Ana shared the idea that started it all: a moon-shaped litter box that separates clumps with a single rotation. Isaac's background in architecture is what let him actually bring her concept to life.
Built in public
From there, the approach was simple: build a working prototype, post videos of it every single day, and ask the community for honest feedback. Moonbox is what came out of that process.
What began as a fix for their own home is now Moonbox.
